HiPerCam I Front

The HiPerCam I is an industrial high-performance intelligent camera that can be combined with a variety of sensor modules to cover a vast spectrum of applications.

It has been specifically designed for industrial applications in the fields of monitoring and control, especially for industrial processes and automation.

To connect it to a computer or display, all users need is a basic Ethernet cable. Ethernet cabling for video transmission can be installed over distances of up to 100 m using a single cable, a huge advantage particularly for large system architectures. The unit uses a PoE as its power supply.

HiPerCam I back The HiPerCam I is based on a Freescale i.MX6 SoC featuring an ARM CPU (single, dual or quad core) boasting a cycle of 1000 MHz as well as powerful co-processors such as GPU, IPU, VPU and video codecs for JPEG, MJPEG and H.264 video data encoding. By default the HiPerCam I contains a separate sensor module with a 5 MP CMOS imager.

The standard CMOS sensor delivers color images with up to 2592 x 1944 pixel at 14 frames per second or 31 frames at full HD. The storage space enables embedded video recording and replay. The real-time video stream may be interrupted at any time and replaced with a new replay of the recorded data, making the HiPerCam I an optimum tool for security applications.
