Concepts for rough industrial environments

Standard housings in standard designs cannot be used if only a limited, exactly defined amount of space is available for the computer unit of a machine. Such applications call for solutions that the embedded concept accommodates.

In conjunction with the development of your customized industrial PC system, ELTEC offers the following options:

Cooling Concepts

Embedded computers with modern processors generate a lot of heat. Given that these PCs do not have to work in office environments, there is a risk that the computer will overheat and fail. Special know-how is required to make sure the heat is removed from the interior of the housing.

Expanded temperature ranges

  • PCs with 0 °C to 50°C vacuum temperature for installation into LCD panels
  • VMEbus CPU with PMC expansion for temperature ranges from -40 °C to +70 °C
  • Reinforced fan sequences–a simple and cost-effective solution whenever ample space is available
  • Choice of a power cord adapter that is approved for use in temperature ranges from 0 °C to 50 °C thanks to de-rating

Cooling system optimization through materials, designs and fan-coupling
  • Cooling systems in flat designs for installation at heights of 20 mm
  • Material and fan selection for CPU cooling from 0 °C to 60 °C
